SOLD OUT - Normandy Academy - Lessons in Leadership: Great Debates on the Greatest Invasion in History

We're sorry, these tickets are no longer available.

The National WWII Museum invites tomorrow’s leaders to join Normandy Academy — an overseas journey that challenges students to consider the same impactful choices that WWII officers and soldiers did during the historic D-Day invasions. Along the way, students will gain hands-on leadership and decision-making skills to prepare them for their futures.

Each Normandy Academy student will be placed into a group responsible for researching a specific element of the invasion, and learn about the leadership quality required to complete each task. Students will also be partnered with a Research Mentor who will provide guidance through reading assignments, oral histories and an interactive webinar.

The program begins at The National WWII Museum, where students will spend two days exploring the lessons of General Eisenhower, his officers and the soldiers who invaded Normandy on D-Day. The group will then depart for Normandy for six full days and nights in France, filled with "boots on the ground" leadership field experiences.

Upon completion of this program, your student will leave with a deeper understanding of history and knowledge of the skills exhibited by some of our nation’s greatest leaders as they made decisions that would alter the future of the world.

Students who participate in Normandy Academy are eligible to receive three credit hours from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
