Armed Forces Day Commemoration Ceremony
US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center and Vimeo, Online Event

The National WWII Museum, in partnership with the Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee, will also host an Armed Forces Day Commemoration Ceremony on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. (CT) to honor all past and present members of the Armed Forces. During this program, The Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee will present Community Service Awards to members of the military commands who have performed outstanding service to the community over and above their normal military duties.

From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CT), veterans visiting the Museum have the opportunity to collect a scarf from US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center as a part of our Knit Your Bit initiative, with more than 10,000 knitters and crocheters participating throughout all 50 states.

All veterans and current military members are admitted FREE for the day to the Museum galleries. Complimentary admission is for the Museum only; ticket purchase is required for Beyond All Boundaries and Final Mission: USS Tang Submarine Experience ($7 each).
