For this special event, students turned filmmakers will introduce their own documentary film. The compelling stories they were able to capture include: a young woman who survived incarceration in Auschwitz, an astonished soldier who liberated Dachau, a teenage girl's parents who sent their daughter to a farm to escape danger in her own country and a young hospital assistant overwhelmed with the thousands of wounded sent back from war. Victoria Hirsch and Cory Garfunkel, teenagers themselves from Mobile, Alabama, interviewed these individuals to understand and learn from their personal experiences during the horrific period of Hitler's reign.
