John McGuckin presents German 6th Regiment

The German 6th Fallschirmjäger Regiment fought in Normandy from June 6 until July 30 under the command of Colonel Friedrich von der Heydte. They continued fighting in the defense of Carentan and through the hedgerows, battling until the survivors were relieved at the end of July. John McGuckin will cover the organization, unit history, uniforms, and weapons of this typical German paratroop regiment circa the summer of 1944.
