Meet author Susan Morrison, who edited her mother’s wartime diary. A smart, astute and funny teenage account and fascinating record of what an everyday American felt and thought during the lead-up to World War II. Joan Wehlen Morrison describes her daily life through recounting headlines and touchstones of the era — FDR’s radio addresses, Citizen Kane, Churchill, Hitler, war work and Red Cross meetings.
