Mason Lecture: Kati Marton presents "The Great Escape: Nine Jews Who Fled Hitler and Changed the World"
US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center

5:00 pm Reception  |  6:00 pm Presentation and Q&A  |  7:30 pm Book Signing

In this groundbreaking book, acclaimed author Kati Marton brings to life an unknown chapter of World War II: the tale of nine men who grew up in Budapest's brief Golden Age, then, driven from Hungary by anti-Semitism, fled to the West, especially to the United States, and changed the world. These nine men, each celebrated for individual achievements, were actually part of a unique group who grew up in a time and place that will never come again.

Join us October 8 as the Museum welcomes Marton to campus to discuss her book, The Great Escape: Nine Jews Who Fled Hitler and Changed the World, and teach more about the astonishing lives of four history-changing scientists, all just one step ahead of Hitler's terror state in their respective fields.

This program is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Ensure your spot by RSVPing online or over the phone at 504-528-1944 x 412.
