Lunchbox Lecture
H. Mortimer Favrot Orientation Center

Collin Makamson presents "The Art of "Grunt & Groan:" Professional Wresting in WWII"

Though the action was largely fake, the contributions of professional wrestling and professional wrestlers in WWII were very real. Wrestlers in the US toured and starred at large bond rallies. Others were even hired by the Army to provide instruction in hand-to-hand combat. Still more future mat-legends were serving in the front lines around the world. Come discover the difference between a 'heel' and a 'face,' how to generate 'heat' and get 'over' as well as how many of the most famous wrestling stars of 20th century started out 'working' for Uncle Sam. Feel free to bring your lunch or just come and enjoy the lecture. For more information call 504-528-1944 x 229.
