Frieder Schnock, PhD, and Renata Stih present Rosie Won the War

5:00 p.m. Wine and Cheese Reception  |  6:00 p.m. Presentation  |  7:00 p.m. Audience Q&A

Renata Stih and Frieder Schnock, world-renowned conceptual artists based in Berlin, will share their interesting working methodology, based on the collaboration between art and science, and how they define public exhibitions and museums as "containers and carriers of memory."

The presentation will focus on a wide array of works, with a specific focus on their latest gender-based exhibition project, Rosie Won the War. Rosie observes the roles of working women during World War II and how it led the way to women's positions in society today.

Stih and Schnock have lectured at leading institutions throughout the United States, including Brown University, Harvard University, Princeton University, Columbia University, Rhode Island School of Design, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, and Dartmouth College.

This program is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Ensure your spot by RSVPing online or over the phone at 504-528-1944 x 412.
