Teaching World War II through Diverse Voices
Hall of Democracy Auditorium, Firehouse Entrance: 1043 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

The National WWII Museum invites middle and high school educators to join us for an exciting professional development opportunity presented in partnership with the Intrepid Museum! Learn more about teaching WWII history through diverse voices and stories with resources from the collections of The National WWII Museum and the Intrepid Museum. Located in New York City, the Intrepid Museum was founded in 1982 with the acquisition of the storied WWII aircraft carrier USS Intrepid. The museum welcomes over one million visitors annually from all over the world and is dedicated to educating the public on and inspiring future generations.

During this professional development program, participants will visit The National WWII Museum’s galleries, including our newest special exhibit, Our War Too: Women in Service, and learn about teaching historical events from multiple perspectives. Teachers who complete this program will receive a certificate and letter of completion.

Teaching materials will be provided for free. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, and parking are also included.

For more information on this program, email Teacher Programs and Curriculum Specialist Isabel Mann at isabel.mann@nationalww2museum.org. For more information about our partner, the Intrepid Museum, visit their website here.
