World War II Unknowns: A Roundtable Discussion Commemorating the Centennial of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Zoom, Online Event

Please note that this program is listed in US Central Time.

A partnered program between The National WWII Museum and Arlington National Cemetery

2021 marks the centennial of the creation of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. While the Tomb began with the burial of a single unidentified American service member from World War I, unknowns from subsequent conflicts—including World War II—were later interred there.

The National WWII Museum is honored to co-host a historian roundtable discussion, which will introduce the Tomb’s history and share research related to unidentified American servicemembers from World War II and their burial places around the globe, as well as ongoing efforts to account for the missing.

Panelists include historians from Arlington National Cemetery, the American Battle Monuments Commission, the National Cemetery Administration, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, and The National World War II Museum.
