Jeff Johnson presents "A Brief History of Close Air Support in World War II"

Learn how a smaller fighting force with limited resources that had to overcome insurmountable odds combined new technologies and untested tactics to bring about an efficient new method of integrating air power with ground forces to greatly enhance the fighting capabilities of the US forces. This was accomplished under fire from the enemy and through a clash of cultures from the friendly forces all while thousands of miles away from the United States in the remote islands of the Pacific.
