Lagniappe Lecture: Carolyn Happer presents "Chosen for Destruction: The Story of a Holocaust Survivor"
H. Mortimer Favrot Orientation Center

Join Carolyn Happer as she discusses Polish Holocaust survivor Morris Glass. Dr. Happer's book, Chosen For Destruction, combines an explanation of the Holocaust with Morris's memories of his experiences, which span the invasion of his hometown in 1939 through his liberation by the US Army in 1945. Morris was confined to the Lodz ghetto for two years; after it was liquidated, he was sent to Auschwitz/Birkenau and from there to Dachau and several of its sub-camps. Out of 42 family members in Poland in 1939, only three survived.

Following the lecture, Dr. Happer will sign books in the Museum Store.
