International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Featuring Luna Kaufman & Her Story of Survival and Reconciliation

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, join Museum educators and Holocaust survivor Luna Kaufman as she shares her harrowing story of persecution and perseverance. Born in Krakow, Poland, Luna and her family were moved to the city's ghetto after Nazi occupation. She was imprisoned in three different forced labor and concentration camps during the war. While Kaufman and her mother survived, her sister and father and most of the members of her extended family perished in the Holocaust. Students will learn about Kaufman's commitment to fighting prejudice and the importance of forgiveness, tolerance, and inter-religious cooperation and understanding.

This webinar is recommended for middle school students, and teachers will receive curriculum materials related to the program upon registering. Register now!
