Edward Branley presents Krauss at War: Krauss Department Store, Canal Street, and the War Effort, 1941-1945

Leon Heymann, President of the Krauss Company, and the employees of Krauss Department Store on Canal Street were aggressive partners in the war effort. From ideas to make daily store operations support the troops to war bond/war stamp campaigns and volunteering for service overseas, the Krauss family were leaders among Canal Street merchants during the war. Edward Branley joins us to detail this slice of New Orleans during World War II.

Lunchbox Lectures are free and open to the public on every first and third Wednesday of the month. For more information, please call 504-528-1944 x 484.
