Displayed on the third level of Louisiana Memorial Pavilion, scale models of the six Japanese aircraft carriers that delivered attack planes to Pearl Harbor are the work of Texas craftsman Dave McVey. Meticulously researched and painstakingly assembled, the models represent the Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu, Shokaku, and Zuikaku, and will be on display at the Museum from mid-November 2016 to mid-June 2017 to mark their role in both the attack on Pearl Harbor and the later Battle of Midway.
