The National WWII Museum will commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day by participating in a global screening event of the documentary Who Will Write Our History at 2:00 p.m. on January 27 in BB’s Stage Door Canteen. Please join us for this free event.

To commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day, The National WWII Museum’s Sarah Kirksey will interview her friend and Holocaust survivor Hana Koral. Hana was born in Poland, and in 1940 her family was forced into the Łódź ghetto. Eventually, they were deported to Auschwitz where she was separated from her mother and two of her siblings.

In the final years of the war, Hana was sent to a work camp outside of Landsberg, Germany, where she worked in an ammunitions factory, then to Theresienstadt concentration camp, which was liberated in 1945. Join Hana Koral as she shares stories of persecution, survival, and living through the Holocaust as a young adult.
