Tina Santi Flaherty presents “What Jackie Taught Us: Lessons from the Remarkable Life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis”
Moderated by Angela Hill
5:00 pm Reception | 6:00 pm Presentation and Q&A | 7:00 pm Book Signing

A woman of confidence and passion, “Jackie O” drew on her remarkable self-knowledge and sense of purpose to cope with extraordinary public demands and the daunting challenges of her private life.

What Jackie Taught Us offers insights from the life of this beloved icon about how to live with poise, grace, and zest. With a wealth of wisdom about image and style, courage and vision, men, marriage, and motherhood, the book also features contributions from notable individuals highlighting the ways in which Jackie’s life has influenced them—and society at large—over the past several decades.

Author Clementina “Tina" Santi Flaherty, a longtime admirer of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, was for many years a New York neighbor of the former first lady. Flaherty is also a well-known philanthropist and businesswoman: A former radio and TV broadcaster, she went on to become the first female corporate vice president of three of America’s largest corporations (Colgate-Palmolive, Grey Advertising, and GTE, now Verizon).

Flaherty is the recipient of many awards and honors, including an honorary doctorate from St. John’s University and an Equal People Award sponsored by the U.N. Decade for Women. She was also selected by the National Conference of Christians and Jews as “An Extraordinary Woman of Achievement.

She is an active board member for the Irish Repertory Theatre, the Animal Medical Center, the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation Inc., and the Churchill Centre. Flaherty’s other books include The Savvy Woman’s Success Bible (with Kay Gilman) and Talk Your Way to the Top. She lives in New York City with her two dogs, Jackie and Scarlett.
