Dinner with a Curator: Radar in World War II
BB's Stage Door Canteen

Rob Wallace presents "Radar in World War II—Opening Windows to an Unseen World"

Superior radar capabilities gave the Allies an advantage in World War II. But radar was being developed by every major military in the 1930s, so what led to the Allied edge? The story starts with Guglielmo Marconi, the radio pioneer with Irish and Italian parents, and travels through Scotland and an upstate New York enclave of tycoons. It continues into the present with the discovery of planets around stars many light-years away. Enjoy a themed repast from The American Sector Restaurant & Bar as you learn what Jameson whiskey, microwave ovens, and dark matter have to do with the Allied triumph in World War II.
